Gallery Of Aquarius Tattoos

Their stubbornness sometimes causes their failure, they will continue to do something their way even though others have proved it is wrong, they are very smart people and know it is wrong but they will continue just because it is their way, they are very fixed in opinion and stubborn when confronted.

Its not that Aquarius's don't have emotions, its more like we keep our emotions to ourselves. You don't want to be on the wrong end when we do show our emotions tho, we explode.

Pisces Tattoos (February 20-March 20)

Pisces is the twelfth and final of the twelve signs of the zodiac, corresponding to the constellation Pisces, and is depicted as two fish swimming around each other and connected by a band.

Pisces glyph The glyph for Pisces looks like a fancy version of the capital letter “H” in which the center points of the two vertical lines are drawn inward, causing the top and bottom of the lines to bow out.
Pisces tattoos can be of the image, glyph, or combination of both.

Pisces is a water element sign, and is ruled by the planet Neptune. The legend behind the Pisces fish is varied and unclear. One version from Syrian lore is that the two fish are in reality the goddess Atargatis and the god Dagon, who was half-man and half-fish. Greek mythology says that the fish are really two black dolphins. They were sent by the god Poseidon to save Eros and Aphrodite from the monster Typhon.

The Pisces personality may at times appear split or two-sided, e.g. they may be ambivalent or undecided about courses of action. They can be so open-minded that it comes across as irrational. Though skilled mediators, Pisces would rather daydream or pray to avoid getting “too much” reality. Actors, dancers, photographers, and ministers are often Pisces.

The lists below show a number of characteristics, both positive and negative, that different sources attribute to Pisces:

Positive: emotional, intuitive, artistic, sympathetic, imaginative, poetic, easy-going, sentimental, kindly, adaptable.

Negative: withdraws, insecure, malleable, self-pitying, self-indulgent, lack of drive, dreamy, lazy, unstable, restless, chaotic, fickle.

Characteristics associated with Pisces, which may be customized into a unique tattoo design:
  • Body Part: Feet
  • Color: Violet
  • Metal: Tin
  • Flower: Violet
  • Gem: Pearl, Jasper (Bloodstone)
  • Food: Raisins, Dates, Cereals
Famous Pisces include Copernicus, Galileo, Victor Hugo, Michelangelo, and Handel.

Aquarius Tattoos (January 20-February 18)

Aquarius is the eleventh of the twelve signs of the zodiac, corresponding to the constellation Aquarius, and is most often depicted as a man pouring water from an urn.

Aquarius image It is the only zodiac sign that has only one man (the others with humans are either twins or females) There are many variations for Aquarius artwork. Though not accurate to the legends, oftentimes the water bearer is drawn as a woman. Many times, only the down-turned urn is portrayed. Whichever variant is chosen, the most important feature is that water must be flowing out of the vessel.

Aquarius Glyph The glyph for Aquarius looks like two parallel and horizontal jagged lines. The image is very similar to the way we all drew pictures of water when we were children, with little squiggly lines to represent waves.

Aquarius tattoos can be of the image, glyph, or combination of both.

Aquarius is an air element sign, and is ruled by the planet Uranus. The legend behind Aquarius is varied and unclear. The story told most frequently is that the image is of Ganymede, a gentle shepherd boy who found favor with the ancient Greek gods. They made him immortal, so he could eternally bring them nectar to drink from a cup. Common wisdom has it that the waters that pour from the urn are the waters of spiritual knowledge; the celestial waters of the powerful ancient gods.

The Aquarius personality may at times appear fragile, but in reality has the resources for survival. Aquarians generally want to be friends, have a live and let live attitude, and they love to inspire trust, impart knowledge, and help others. They would rather be different than ordinary. Aquarians are often scientists, social workers, or in the military. The lists below show a number of characteristics, both positive and negative, that different sources attribute to Aquarius:

Positive: wise, refined, artistic, tenacious, intuitive, independent, original, friendly, humanitarian, progressive, persistent, inventive, creative, tolerant, fond of science and literature, optimistic.

Negative: erratic, perverse, would rather destroy status quo than work to establish benefits for the future.

Characteristics associated with Aquarius, which may be customized into a unique Aquarius tattoo design:
  • Body Part: Ankles, Shins
  • Color: Blue-Violet
  • Metal: Lead
  • Flower: Tulip
  • Gem: Jade (Amethyst)
  • Food: Pomegranates
Famous Aquarians include Lord Byron, Charles Darwin, and Thomas Edison.

Capricorn Tattoos (December 22-January 19)

Capricorn is the tenth of the twelve signs of the zodiac, corresponding to the constellation Capricornus, and is depicted as a goat.

Frequently, artistic versions of Capricorn show an animal with the upper body of a goat and the lower body of a sea-creature (something like a mermaid’s tail). For a tattoo, just a picture of a goat is fine, but one should probably consider artwork that portrays the goat-fish, or Sea-Goat.

Capricorn glyph The glyph for Capricorn looks like the capital letter “V” with a looped tail coming off the top point of the right hand line of the V. The V portion represents the goat’s body and horns, while the looped tail represents the sea-creature part of the body.

Capricorn tattoos can be of the image, glyph, or combination of both.

Capricorn is an earth element sign, and is ruled by the planet Saturn. The legend behind Capricorn is varied and unclear. The story told most frequently is that Pan, the pipe-playing god of herdsmen who had the upper body of a man and the lower body of a goat, was trying to escape the monstrous god Typhon. Pan leapt into the Nile River, where his upper body became the goat half, and his lower body turned into a fish.

The Capricorn personality is ambitious and healthy, and rarely takes the easy path. Friendships evolve slowly, as the Capricorn sometimes comes off as cold and unemotional, and can let rules get in the way of having fun. Still, Capricorns are outgoing and have a good sense of humor. They make good civil servants and politicians. The dual nature of the goat-fish body leads the Capricorn to both climb to new heights or sink into the abyss. The lists below show a number of characteristics, both positive and negative, that different sources attribute to Capricorn:

Positive: surefooted, industrious, ambitious, practical, prudent, persevering, diplomatic, cautious, methodical, dependable, trustworthy, efficient, just, honest, conservative, responsive, patient, systematic.

Negative: high need for security, secretive, fearful, miserly, unsympathetic, rigid, suspicious, selfish, materialistic, brooding, egotistical.

Characteristics associated with Capricorn, which may be customized into a unique Capricorn tattoo design:
  • Body Part: Knees
  • Color: Deep Blue
  • Metal: Lead
  • Flower: Poppy
  • Gem: Garnet
  • Food: Cabbage, Kale
Famous Capricorns include Sir Isaac Newton, Louis Pasteur, and Benjamin Franklin.

Sagittarius Tattoos (November 23-December 21)

Sagittarius Image Sagittarius is the ninth of the twelve signs of the zodiac, corresponding to the constellation Sagittarius, and is most often depicted as an archer. More specifically, the artwork depicts the archer as a Centaur – an immortal being with a horses’ body and the upper torso of a man. (Not to be confused with a minotaur, which is a man’s body with a bull’s head.) The Centaur is often considered the “complete man,” because he is at once animal, spiritual, and divine.

Sagittarius glyph The glyph for Sagittarius looks, not surprisingly, like an arrow. The tip of the arrow points to the upper right, and is intersected by a straight line in its lower third (like crossing a lower-case “t”).
Sagittarius tattoos can be of the image, glyph, or combination of both.

Sagittarius is a fire element sign, and is ruled by the planet Jupiter. Sagittarius is linked to the ancient Greek story about Cheiron (sometimes spelled Chiron or Kiron), king of the centaurs. During a battle, he was accidentally injured by one of Hercules arrows; an arrow that had been poisoned by the blood of the multi-headed Hydra. Since Cheiron was an immortal the poison did not kill him, but he was destined to a life of eternal suffering. To ease his pain, Zeus turned Cheiron into a constellation, so he could live forever in the sky.

The Sagittarius personality seeks harmony with others, and believes that money should be shared among all (“if you have it, spend it”). Sagittarians make good lecturers and philosophers. They love to be active and travel. They make friends quickly, but are sometimes naively overconfident about who to trust since they don’t see the bad in others. The lists below show a number of characteristics, both positive and negative, that different sources attribute to Sagittarius:

Positive: independent, adventurous, open, honest, dignified, optimistic, enthusiastic, philosophic, idealistic, open-minded, loyal, magnanimous, frank.

Negative: indolent, self-indulgent, conceited, dogmatic, pointless wanderings.

Characteristics associated with Sagittarius, which may be customized into a unique tattoo design:

  • Body Part: Hips, Thighs
  • Color: Light Blue
  • Metal: Tin
  • Flower: Goldenrod
  • Gem: Turquoise
  • Food: Asparagus, Cucumbers

Famous Sagittarians include Beethoven, artist William Blake, and Catherine of Sweden.

Scorpio Tattoo (October 24-November 22)

Scorpio is the eighth of the twelve signs of the zodiac, corresponding to the constellation Scorpius, and is most often depicted as a Scorpion.

Throughout history, Scorpio has at times been depicted as an eagle. It is the only one of the zodiac symbols to have two distinct animals.

Scorpio glyph The glyph for Scorpio looks like the capital letter “M” with an arrow tipped tail coming upward off the right hand leg. The glyph looks very similar to the one for Virgo.
Scorpio tattoos can be of the image, glyph, or combination of both.

Scorpio is a water element sign, and is ruled by the planet Pluto. Scorpio is linked to the ancient Greek story about Orion the hunter (also a constellation, but not one of the zodiac signs). In an attempt to impress the goddess Artemis, Orion hunted and killed all of the animals in Crete. Artemis, herself a hunter, was appalled by Orion’s act, and sentenced him to death. Death by scorpion bite. In early Christian art, the scorpion represented treachery.

The Scorpio personality dislikes mediocrity, and works determinately to accomplish goals. The Scorpio makes decisions easily, and carries out plans – generally by him or herself with no assistance from others. Scorpios would rather compete against their personal best record than to compete against others. They have a good memory, and are good with money. The lists below show a number of characteristics, both positive and negative, that different sources attribute to Scorpio:

Positive: magnetic, determined, shrewd, dignified, self-confident, masterful, sensitive, inspirational, tenacious, forceful, emotional, penetrating, competitive.

Negative: secretive, critical, extremist, cruel, violent, rebellious, suspicious, sarcastic, selfish, indulgent, domineering.

Characteristics associated with Scorpio, which may be customized into a unique Scorpio tattoo design:

  • Body Part: Lower Abdomen
  • Color: Green-Blue
  • Metal: Iron
  • Flower: Honeysuckle
  • Gem: Topaz
  • Food: Prunes
Famous Scorpios include Martin Luther, spy Mata Hari, and artist Pablo Picasso.

Libra Tattoos (September 24-October 22)

Libra is the seventh of the twelve signs of the zodiac, corresponding to the constellation Libra, and is depicted as scales.

Often these are referred to as the Scales of Justice. Most often, artwork for the symbol is limited to the scales alone, though sometimes they are shown being held by a woman (see myth below).

Libra glyph The glyph for Libra is two parallel horizontal lines. The top line has a half-circle coming off the top, resembling a sunset on the horizon. Some artists depict the top line as the Greek symbol Omega with a second line underneath.

Libra tattoos can be of the image, glyph, or combination of both.

Libra is an air element sign, and is ruled by the planet Venus. Often, it is linked to the ancient Greek story about the goddess of justice, Astraea, whose scales held in balance the weights and deeds of humans on earth. Others stories say the image is that of Astraea’s mother, Themis, who also was a goddess of justice and common sense. Legend has it that both Persephone and Aphrodite wanted to raise the orphaned Adonis. Themis determined that they would have joint custody. Because of the confusion with all the characters involved, and since both Astraea and Persphone are possibly the woman depicted in the constellation Virgo, the image of Libra focuses on the scales more so than whoever it is holding them.

The Libra personality believes in doing things right. Just as scales have two sides, the Libra believes in balance, e.g. work hard then relax, eat heartily and then diet. They are sometimes unable to make up their mind and may be easily persuaded. Libras can not live without warmth and contact with others. The lists below show a number of characteristics, both positive and negative, that different sources attribute to Libra:

Positive: likable, harmonious, elegant, orderly, peaceful, helpful, gentle, artistic, sensitive, spiritual, perceptive, affectionate, aware of others

Negative: impractical, lazy, untidy, “lost in the clouds,” unable to cope, dependent

Characteristics associated with Libra, which may be customized into a unique Libra tattoo design:

  • Body Part: Lower Back
  • Color: Green
  • Metal: Copper
  • Flower: Violet
  • Gem: Diamond (Opal)
  • Food: Strawberries

Famous Libras include author Oscar Wilde, Verdi, Gandhi, and actress Bridgette Bardot.

Virgo Tattoos (August 23-September 22)

Virgo is the sixth of the twelve signs of the zodiac, corresponding to the constellation Virgo, and is depicted as a virtuous maiden.

The shape of the stars in the constellation simply that the woman is holding something. She is generally depicted as holding flowers, ears of corn, or a sheath of wheat. Generally she is nude; occasionally she is depicted with wings as a sign of her spirituality.

virgo glyph The glyph for Virgo looks like an upper-case letter “M” with a looped tail that hooks back into the right-hand leg. The glyph is very similar to the one for Scorpio.

Virgo tattoos can be of the image, glyph, or combination of both.

Virgo is an earth element sign, and is ruled by the planet Mercury. Often, it is linked to the ancient Greek story about the goddess Persephone. Persephone was tricked into marring Hades, god of the underworld, and lived with him beneath the earth. When she was gone, nothing on earth would grow. Persephone’s mother, Demeter, convinced Hades to let her return for half the year. When on earth, Persephone launched the springtime. During her absence, winter comes. Other legends say the woman is the Egyptian goddess Isis, or Astraea, the Greek goddess of justice (though that story is not favored, since it gets confused with Libra). Early Christian tradition claimed that the woman in the sky was the Virgin Mary.

The Virgo personality is well-balanced, and combines both intuition and logic in their decision. They tend to have only a few close friends, and would rather just smile than laugh. Virgos make good secretaries, scientists, and gardeners. The lists below show a number of characteristics, both positive and negative, that different sources attribute to Virgo:

Positive: seeks perfection, intellectual, dignified, clever, intelligent, good under pressure, graceful, alert, gentle, good student, likes to read.

  • Gem: Sapphire
  • Food: Lemons

Leo Tattoos (July 23-August 22)

Leo is the fifth of the twelve signs of the zodiac, corresponding to the constellation Leo, and is depicted as a lion.

Leo glyph The glyph for Leo looks like an upside-down letter “U” with curly tips. The curl on the left hand side is generally larger. Some say it looks like he mane of a lion, while others claim it represents the shape of the heart.

Leo tattoos can be of the image, glyph, or combination of both.

Leo is a fire element sign, and is ruled by the planet Saturn. Often, it is linked to the ancient Greek legend about a savage lion that lived on the moon. Seeking food, the lion leapt to the earth and landed in the city of Nemea in Greece. The Nemean lion fed on humans until Hercules tracked it into a cave and killed it. When he emerged from the cave, Hercules was wearing the lion’s pelt as a cloak and the lion’s head as a helmet.

The Leo personality is drawn to beauty, likes fashion, and has a flair for drama. They are idealistic, but are also easily hurt and therefore have difficulty in relationships.

Leos make good actors, dancers, and teachers. The lists below show a number of characteristics, both positive and negative, that different sources attribute to Leo:

Positive: generous, active, willing to take risks, leader, creative, self-reliant, enthusiastic, warm-hearted, positive, self-expressive, dignified, inspirational, exuberant, flamboyant, theatrical, hospitable, altruistic.

Cancer Tattoos (June 21 - July 22)

Cancer is the fourth of the twelve signs of the zodiac, corresponding to the constellation Cancer, and is depicted as a crab. Some early versions of the Cancer symbol depicted it as a crayfish.

The glyph for Cancer looks like the two lower-case letter “b’s” or the number “6” with one laying down and the other facing the opposite direction laying on top (picture how shoes come in a shoebox).

Cancer tattoos can be of the image, glyph, or combination of both.

Cancer is a water element sign, and is ruled by the Moon. Often, it is linked to the ancient Greek story about Hercules, who was trying to kill the multi-headed Hydra beast. The goddess Hera wanted Hercules to lose, so she created a crab to hold Hercules by the ankle while he fought. Unfortunately for both the Hydra and the crab, Hercules won. The Roman variation is that the goddess Juno placed the spirit of the defeated crab in the sky.

The Cancer personality is devoted to traditions and customs, are collectors, and they love home and cherish marriage. They may, however, become dependent on others. This is unfortunate, because they are also unable to see or understand that others may have evil intentions. The lists below show a number of characteristics, both positive and negative, that different sources attribute to Cancer:

Positive: family-centered, good at business, caretaker, emotional, sensitive, imaginative, gregarious, cautious, romantic, sociable, shrewd, domesticated
